Joe Jacobs is a 2024 2B/RHP with a 5-7 153 lb. frame from Sun Prairie, WI who attends Sun Prairie. Ran a 7.84 second sixty. Primary section baseman with a medium build. Gets to his spot and sets up early on the infield with the glove playing out front. Works into the throws fine with some feel for the footwork as he travels toward the target making accurate throws with young arm strength. Starts with a high leg lift on the mound bringing the knee to his chest before working on line to the plate. Showed a longer arm action up to a three-quarters arm slot with the fastball sitting 72-74 mph with developing command. Landed the breaking ball effectively in the low 60's with 12-6 depth as his most consistent pitch while also showing a changeup at 63 mph. Right-handed hitter, used a leg lift trigger with a weight shift onto the back side. Showed some feel for the barrel while hitting off the back side and allowing the top hand to drive the swing through the hitting zone with young bat speed. Very good student.
