Primary right-handed pitcher who had a quicker leg lift up above the belt with some speed in his move down the mound. Worked from the stretch only during his outing. Had good direction in his move down the slope Throwing from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Had some quickness to the arm stroke overall. Fastball worked into the mid-70s. The pitch had some natural cut to it. Mixed in a curveball with 12-6 depth to it, being a bit shorter in terms of break at times. Showed a harder changeup up to 70 mph as well. Threw 2.0 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 2 opposing hitters. A right-handed hitter worked with lower-set hands and a high-back elbow. Even base in his stance. His best contact came to the pull-side, mostly to left field. He had some bat speed with good impacts and strength to it. Had a couple of nice line drives up the middle. He keeps good posture in his stance and uses a hovering leg lift trigger. Best contact during his round of BP swings came to the middle of the field. Consistent on the barrel. Added 2 hits in-game. Also worked out as an infielder with throws from a three-quarters arm slot at 79 mph across the diamond. Good accuracy to the bag. He ranges well to get in position and was clean with his prep step to get started. He stayed low through it and was uber-accurate—projectable traits. Great student.
