Takumi Yoshida is a 2027 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Boxford, MA who attends Governor Dummer Academy. Recorded a 7.79 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a compact frame. Began from an open stance behind the dish and repeated well. Showed a quick and short arm stroke with a fast release. Quality arm strength and threw consistently accurate to the bag. Recorded a pop time of 2.00 in workouts. Received well in game and handled quality stuff well. Right-handed hitter and starts from a narrow and open base. Swings the bat with intent to do damage and swing is rotational. Present hand speed and impacted the ball to the pull side and the middle of the field during the round. Compact stroke and has barrel accuracy. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to waist level. Releases from a 3/4 slot and fastball topped at 80 mph. Threw with lots of conviction and flashed a slider. Named to the 2023 National Underclass Showcase- Top Prospect List.
