Logan Mallard is a 2024 1B/LHP with a 6-0 245 lb. frame from Houma, LA who attends South Terrebonne. Recorded a 8.20 60-yard dash time. Primary firstbaseman with a stocky build. Showed solid footwork at first and worked around the bag well. Displayed good glovework with accurate throws. Smooth and accuarate double play feeds. Left-handed hittr and starts from a narrow base. Utilizes a toe tap timing trigger. Stroke is smooth through the zone with loft. Showed some jump off the barrel with some juice to his pull side. Secondary left-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a side step into a core level leg lift. Emplys a shorter arm action and releases from a high-3/4 slot. Stays on line to the plate. Ran fastball up to 76 mph and showed a curveball with short depth. Excellent student. Named to the Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
