Rafael Castillo Carmona is a 2022 SS with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, SD who attends Colegio Celina. Medium frame with a lean build and plenty of room to fill. Ran a 7.08 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with bounce to the overall actions, approaches the ball well and shows confidence with the glove, good range to either side and transitions to throws well with still developing arm strength that will surely grow with time. Switch-hitter, showed good bat speed on a short swing path from the left side getting the barrel out and getting around the ball at times while showing a longer path from the right side with more looseness to the hands and ability to lift.
