Gustavo Marquez
SS - 2024 - Killeen, TX
Frank Phillips College
Marquez really impressed with his crisp defensive expertise up the middle. The glove plays is a big way with quick twitch lateral movements. Throws across showed plenty of zip and were highly accurate. The swing shows quality rhtyhm and timing with feel for the barrel. Pretty impressive for having such a big hanging leg kick. On the mound, he is an up tempo worker with comfortability working east to west with a running low 80's fastball. The pitchability of breaking stuff also was impressive. Varies the tilt to it at times late in counts.
Gavin McKnight
C - 2024 - Shady Shores, TX
Amarillo College
McKnight has some things to like offensively with a clean and connected swing while the arm strength showed really well both in the infield and from his primary spot behind the dish but it was on the mound where he was the most impressive. He was 85-86 for 2 innings on a good fastball, showed healthy feel to spin the breaker and gets a ton of arm side action on the changeup giving him a projectable and good 3 pitch mix.
Jeffrey Grosso
1B - 2024 - Waller, TX
University of Arkansas Rich Mountain
Grosso is a big physical corner presence that shows massive run producing up side at the dish. He works with big deep load and hammers rising liners middle to pull side. Left the yard in batting practice to left center. He carried it over into in game action well with mulitple hits for extra bases. Good ceiling for future power with room to add muscle mass.
Benjamin Barrera
SS - 2024 - Cypress, TX
Uncommitted
Barrera's defensive ability stood out in workouts. He funnels well up the middle with on time and in rhythm footwork. The arm was accurate in the mid 80's across the diamond. Found a couple in game barrels with a very linear swing path. On the mound, he works crossfire to the plate with a running fastball and a hard sweeping slider that induced whiffs in bunches. Could be utilized a righty specialist in future.
Garrett Hayes
OF - 2024 - Tyler, TX
Tyler Junior College
Hayes showed his athleticism with a quick 6.56 60-yard to start the event off. The defensive actions in workuts looked very promising in the outfield. At the plate, he works with balanced base and above average bat speed to drive balls hard to the pull side. Athleticism shows very much so in the swing. Still plenty of room to add.
Jorge Gil
3B - 2024 - Cypress, TX
Midland College
Gil showed his left handed power on Sunday when he smashed a no doubter to straight away right. The lengthy physical build has no problem generating this type of leverage on a consistent basis. Simple swing is in tune with advanced barrel skills. Future added strength is easy to project.
Damian Montanez
OF - 2025 - Killeen, TX
Texas San Antonio
Montanez put all 5 of his tools on display this weekend. Very savvy with glove, profiles somewhere up the middle long term. The arm is strong with advanced carry from the outfield and accurate strikes acorss the diamond in the infield. Up to 90. Plus runner with a 60-yard at 6.68. At the plate, very direct swing with some loft, will function as a table setter at the next level but wouldn't be surprised to see him leave the yard at least a handful of times. He left a very positive impression amongst the staff.
Cash Dabbs
RHP - 2025 - Redlands, CA
Louisiana-Monroe
Dabbs is a very well rounded young player with good defensive actions at multiple spots. The carry and athleticism in outfield workouts stood out. Also, took the best and cleanest round at first base. At the plate, it is a very direct stroke with a whippy barrel through the zone. The length from the left side of the plate makes it easy to project future power. On the mound, it was a clean operation and feel for his three-pitch mix. Fastball played true in the mid 80's, curveball was very depth with late bite to it at times, as well as a tumbling fade change. Lots to like here going forward.
Kolin Swindall
RHP - 2025 - Alvin, TX
Uncommitted
Swindall works with balanced repeatable delivery and methodical arm stroke into an explosive release. The mid 80's fastball shows lots of late life with plus command to either side of the plate. The breaker was a hammer curveball with sharp downer bite to it. Definite, power arm foundation with ability to hold velocity well deeper into the outing.
Kevin Haslam
SS - 2025 - Pflugerville, TX
Uncommitted
Haslam moves with lots of athleticism defensively from multiple spots. Very savvy glove work from both the infield and outfield. The arm plays with above average carry. He put together a loud round of batting practice with his rhtyhmic swing. Carried it over to in game action well where he roped a double down the line to left. Tools graded out very well across the board.
Zachary Tuxhorn
C - 2025 - Houston, TX
Uncommitted
Tuxhorn is a physical right-handed hitting backstop with strength at the forefront of the profile. It's a compact stroke with plenty of jump off the barrel, to the entire field, and the arm plays well behind the dish with tons of carry on strong accurate throws both in the workout setting and in game action.
Ronin McCraw
SS - 2026 - Magnolia, TX
Texas A&M
McCraw was highly regarded coming into the weekend and he's shown that there has been good strides made. He's a very good athlete, running a 6.85, and is versatile to play both the infield and outfield, with real polish on the dirt, while the left-handed stick is explosive with loads of bat speed and the added physicality has translated to some juice to the pull side.
Brady Tran
LHP - 2026 - Houston, TX
Uncommitted
Tran is an athletic young two-way prospect who can swing it with a good bit of bat speed and torque from the left side but it was on the mound where he impressed. He filled the zone at 77-79 for 3 innings, showing good life to the arm side consistently, while there's real comfort with the breaking ball, spinning it over 2200 RPMs and landing it often for some tough takes.
Jaymeson Forest
3B - 2026 - St. Louis, MO
Uncommitted
Forest is physically advanced for the age with the desirable trait of being a left handed hitting third basemen. The defensive actions were swift and rthymic for the size to pair with quality feel for the barrel at the plate. The swing works with rthym and load that gains usable separation. He extends well to impact and has no problem driving deep lofted barrels middle to pull side. Decent power ceiling here with potential to be a middle of the order run producing type bat.
Hayden Mireles
1B - 2026 - Pearland, TX
Uncommitted
Mireles is a long and projectable 6'2/170 and he impressed on the mound with really intriguing upside. He was 80-82 getting downhill with a really clean and quick arm, pounding the arm side with comfort, and while the feel to spin is developing, the velocity ceiling is something to be intrigued about.
