8/21/2022

Josh Keen (2023 RHP, Philadelphia, PA) looked promising in three frames of work in which he was able to establish the heater early and often, topping out at a respectable 86 mph. Six batters were set down on strikes with the fastball showing signs of late life. The physical 6-foot-1 230 pound righty also flashed a breaking ball for some swing and miss with big 11-5 shape.

Chase Newton (2024 SS, Bayville, NJ) tossed a clean two innings and recorded five strikeouts in the process. He was able to pick his spots effectively and utilized an abbreviated three-quarter arm slot to attack downhill. The heat topped out at an even 80 mph.

Cole Haskew (2025 SS, Warwick, NY) picked up a pair of singles in his last game of the weekend with evident feel for the barrel and quality hand-eye coordination. His notable defensive attribute is his range up the middle with projectable athleticism that translates in all phases.

Anthony Marsico (2026 OF, Blauvelt, NY) showed some two-way ability in Sunday’s tilt with a loud double in the gap, followed up by a quality inning of work on the bump. The righty eclipsed the 80-mph plateau and sat upper-70s consistently. Offensively, he uses leverage from the lower half to generate some pull-side pop.

Mason Myers (2026 OF, Gibbstown, NJ) showed some considerable pop with a deep double in the left centerfield gap, flashing an abundance of athletic tools including young arm strength from the outfield to pair with both contact and early power potential on the offensive end.

1-Gold Sunday Game Highlights

8/21/2022

Andrew Benvenuto (2023, Berkeley Heights, NJ) commanded his arsenal as he racked up four punchies in his three innings of work. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound left hander sat in the upper-70s with his fastball, working up to 80 mph early in the first inning. Showcasing some swing-and-miss projection, Benvenuto’s breaker showed sweeping action that he was able to backdoor to right-handers. Benvenuto changed speeds well, landing his breaker for strikes repeatedly.

Jack Beard (2024, Leesburg, VA) smoked a liner through the left side of the infield during his second at-bat of game one. Battling off several two-strike pitches, Beard was able to stay alive before getting a pitch he could drive, getting the bat head out to the point of contact as he squared up the heater.

Chase Harlan (2024, Doylestown, PA) added his second hit Gold’s first game in the top half of the 5th, bouncing a grounder through the left side. Harlan continues to impact the ball to the pull side, producing loud contact that echoes throughout the stadium.

JC Pacheco (2026, Belleville, NJ) offered an interesting look on the mound to close out yellow’s first game Sunday morning. With obvious life in the arm, Pacheco worked in the low-80s with some late life through the zone. Utilizing a drop and drive lower half, Pacheco used his strong lower half to drive down the slope, creating some downhill action on his heater as he comes from an over-the-top slot.

Aidan Rivera (2024, Freehold, NJ) had himself quite the second game for the yellow squad. Getting the start on the bump, Rivera worked with an athletic operation with some looseness to his arm action. With tons of room to fill and strength remaining to be added, Rivera sat in the 78-80 mph range, topping 81 and should continue to climb the velo later as he progresses. At the dish, he shot a line-drive over the shortstops head in his first trip to the plate.

Matt Koehler (2025, Mohnton, PA) barreled up an 0-2 fastball, sending it into center for a two-out knock in the bottom half of the 3rd. Getting everyone’s attention as the sound echoed throughout the facility, Koehler incorportates his long levers well, generating tons of torque from his 6-foot-2, 160-pound frame.

Juandel Mejia (2024, Elizabeth, NJ) found a loud barrel in game two, smoking a fastball into center for a one-out triple in the bottom of the 4th. Mejia has continued to show feel for the barrel with some quickness to his hands that have produced some well-struck balls throughout the weekend.

2-Green Sunday Game Highlights

8/21/2022

Jeremy Sosa (2024, Bronx, NY) continued to impress Sunday morning as he took the bump to get us start Punching out five over his two innings of work, Sosa worked up to 81 with his heater, sitting in the 77-79 mph range with as he generated whiffs with his fastball-curveball combo. Beating out an infield single and swiping second on the very next pitch, Sosa skillset continues to standout and should be highly desirable to programs.

Edward Balewitz Jr (2024, Kendall Park, NJ) got the bat head out on a heater, lining it into right for a one-out knock in game two of Green’s morning slate. With compact hand speed, Balewitz Jr has displayed impact to the pull side with present bat-to-ball skills.

Owen Palmer (2025, Woodbury, CT) worked a clean two innings, needing only five-pitches to get through his first frame as he generated weak contact, retiring the side in both innings. Sitting in the 76-78 mph range with his heater, Palmer’s breaker showed some tight spin as played it off his fastball effectively. Tapping into his strong lower half, Palmer has a lot to like as he continues to gain more experience on the mound and add strength to his frame.

Hudson Novodor (2026, Gladwyne, PA) collected his second knock of the day during his first trip to the plate in game two. Shooting a hard grounder through the right side, the young outfielder has displayed some advanced barrel skills in games as he has put together quality at-bats. Novodor would come around to score from first on a ball in the gap.

Cole Lombardo (2026, Garnet Valley, PA) laced a triple into the left-center gap, ambushing a first-pitch fastball. Lombardo has continued to showcase middle-of-the-field with some intriguing power potential as he fills out his young, athletic frame.

Jag Garces (2026, West Bridgewater, MA) added to the Green squad’s lead, bringing home Lombardo with an RBI-single back up the shoot. Garces shortened up with two-strikes and got the barrel on plane early to maximize his plate coverage.

Roan Harrington (2024, Blue Bell, PA) continues to find barrels as he lined a double down the left field line during his final at-bat of the end. Harrington possesses excellent barrel skills and has used the whole field throughout the weekend, while also displaying some twitch in his actions.

3-Orange Sunday Game Highlights

8/21/2022

Drew Markey (2026, Alexandria, VA) worked efficiently over his three innings of work as he showcased a strong command of the zone, throwing 70% strikes, working his fastball in all four quadrants of the zone. There continues to be a ton of physical projection for the young right-hander, sitting in the 73-76 mph range the velo will continue to tick up as he adds strength and fills out his 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame.

Jackson Sgro (2024, Lambertville, NJ) added another knock to his stat line Sunday, shooting a single back up the middle in Orange’s second game of the morning. Sgro continues to put together quality at-bats in game, working counts as he refuses to expand the zone.

Jake Adams (2024, Katonah, NY) smoked a single over the second baseman’s head in his final trip the plate. Staying on a fastball on the outer half, Adams got the barrel on plane and stayed through extension well. Producing a loud barrel, Adams has put together solid at-bats all weekend.

Ryan Gollon (2025, Woolwich, NJ) showed off his 6.8-second 60 speed beating out an infield single later coming around to score Gold’s sole run of the game. Gollon’s athleticism has been impressive all weekend as he offers some two-way ability that will be worth following as he matures physically.

4-Red v. 5-White Game Highlights

8/20/2022

Jacob Horwitz (2026 LHP, Penn Valley, PA) showed off intriguing present stuff, as the compact left-hander punched out seven in his three scoreless innings of work. He ran his fastball up to 83 from a lightning quick three-quarters arm slot. He flashed a hellacious slider with both horizontal bite and vertical depth to it. Also, mixed in a slower curveball for strikes that hard downer tilt at times. The command is still developing but the present repertoire has legitimate swing-and-miss ability.

Michael Whitmore (2023 RHP, Medford, NJ) was impressive through his three innings of work with his ability to miss barrels and generate weak contact. He ran his fastball up to 81 mph from a deceptive three-quarters arm slot. He mixed in a slurve shaped breaking ball for strikes and a replicated changeup with parachute action for swings-and-misses. There is some room to add a few more ticks from a velocity perspective, which will only expand his overall repertoire.

William Bethea (2025 3B, South Plainfield, NJ) impressed on both sides of the ball, as the 2025 New Jersey native collected two hits and threw two scoreless innings on the mound. He ran his fastball up to 77 mph from a high three-quarters arm. He mixed in a slower 11-5 shaped curveball for strikes and pounded the zone with his heavy fastball. At the plate, he stays short and direct with his barrel, and displayed plenty of present bat speed.

Justin Augustus (2024 OF, New Tripoli, PA) collected two hits in this one, as the uncommitted 2024 outfielder used a simple, repeatable swing with good feel for the barrel and some quickness to his hands. He repeats well and stays connected throughout.

Anthony Marsico (2026 OF, Blauvelt, NY) followed up a solid batting round with three hits in this one. The twitchy 2026 outfielder incorporates a loose, slightly lofted stroke with good feel for the barrel and plenty of present bat speed. He impacts the baseball with authority from gap-to-gap and has long term power potential evident by his booming triple.

Batting Practice Highlights

8/20/2022

JC Pacheco (2026 SS, Belleville, NJ) produced loud barrels to the pull side middle of the field using a balanced slightly open stance to explode through the zone and create lift in the bat path. The ’26 grad already possesses an evident power tool that will only continue developing as he matures.

Chase Harlan (2024 3B, Doylestown, PA) peppered balls from line to line making the most of his round, showing off both the contact and power tools with effortless carry and backspin on the baseball. The 6-foot-2 200 pound Cincinnati commit flashed advanced bat-to-ball skills with natural feel for the barrel that could leave the facility on any given swing.

Jeremy Sosa (2024 OF, Bronx, NY) showcased a smooth inside out swing with natural power the opposite way, using compact hand speed to generate carry on the baseball. The strong framed 6-foot 190 pound OF created dangerous torque of the hips with balance and repeatability in the stroke.

Owen Palmer (2025 SS, Woodbury, CT) did significant damage to the pull side over the course of his  round, getting the barrel extended and creating contact out in front with power generation from the lower half. Palmer has plenty of athleticism in the 6-foot 190 pound frame that translates in multiple aspects.

Michael Paciotti (2024 3B, Jefferson Township, PA) left the building not once but twice to dead center field, showing off the natural strength in the hands with big time juice potential when timed up. From a wider even base, the 6-foot-2 180 pound righty swung a heavy barrel with intent to use the middle of the field.

Spencer Nicely (2023 C, Summit, NJ) was mechanically sound from both boxes, as the 6-fot-3 200 pound switch hitting catcher flashed the ability to use all parts of the field with contact and power tools present.

The young 5-foot-9 160 pound ’26 prospect has projectable strength in the frame with multiple balls off the CF fence.

1-Gold Saturday Game Highlights

8/20/2022

Jack Beard (2024, Leesburg, VA) shortened up with two drive and drove a fastball on the outer half down the right field line for a two-out triple. Dropping it just beyond the right-fielder, Beard kicked it into second gear as he rounded second. Beard possesses quickness to his hands and displayed some line-drive impact through the day as he remains on time. Coming in for two-innings of work to end game two, Beard offered an intriguing look, collecting two punchout to end his outing.

Brendan McBride (2024, Long Valley, NJ) ripped a double into center to kick off the top of the 4th, later coming around to score, getting the yellow team on the board. Proving that pitchers are indeed athletes, our game one starter got the barrel out on a fastball right over the heart of the plate. The Jersey-native collected four strikeouts over his three innings on the bump, as he was one of the standouts in game one of the afternoon.

Sean McGuigan (2026, Newark, DE) got the top of the 5th going with a hot shot through the right-side of the infield. Going with a fastball out the outer half, McGugian got his barrel on plane early and squared up the pitch, shooting it between the first and second baseman. Collecting his second knock of the day during game two, McGuigan blooped a single into right in the bottom half of the third.

Chase Harlan (2024, Doylestown, PA) smoked a single back up-the-middle in his first trip to the plate during game two. Ambushing the first pitch he saw, Harlan squared it up as he did not miss the fastball over the plate. Swiping second a few pitches later, the Cincinnati commit showed off his athleticism that has been on display all day.

3-Orange Saturday Game Highlights

8/20/2022

Bashir Tawfeeq (2025, Wyndmoor, PA) notched the Orange’s team second hit of game one, getting the barrel out to a heater as he went up to the plate first-pitch swinging. Displaying some impact to the pull side, the left-handed Tawfeeq has shown some feel for the barrel with some developing strength on the way that will lead to harder hit balls.

Ryan Gollon (2025, Woolwich, NJ) offered an intriguing look from the left side during game two, working with a three-pitch arsenal that offered some interesting projection. The young left-hander’s 79-81 mph heater played higher as it got on opposing hitters quickly, hiding it well as he comes from a ¾ slot. His fastball displayed heavy life through the zone that generated some swing-and-misses. Efficiently killing spin with his change, it looked to be his best secondary offering with late fading action through the zone. By the end of three-innings of work, Gollon had tallied four punch outs and close to 70% strikes.

Owen Friddell (2023, Delran, NJ) had two really good takes back-to-back before barreling up a fastball for a single. Friddell has continued to showcase middle-of-the-field impact with line-drive tendencies. Showing off the athleticism, he would come around to score on a ball in the gap, serving as the Orange teams first run of game two.

Jackson Srgo (2024, Lambertville, NJ) broke the scoreless tie in the top of the 3rd with a loud double into the right-center field gap, plating Friddell from second. Going with a fastball on the outer half, Srgo used his compact stroke to get the barrel out to the point of contact as he created some lift through the zone. Working to the gaps, Srgo offers some power projection from his 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame.

Jake Adams (2024, Springfield, PA) battled tough with two strikes, fouling off pitches, eventually winning the battle and shooting a line-drive back up the shoot for a two-out single. Adams’ quick hands allowed his to fight out those tough two strikes pitches, shortening up as he put the barrel on the ball.

2-Green Saturday Game Highlights

8/20/2022

Jeremy Sosa (2024, Bronx, NY) took his loud round of BP and carried it into gameplay, scorching a fastball off the center field fence during his first at-bat of the afternoon. Sosa generates tons of torque and does not get cheated when up the plate, scorching another ball in his second at-bat of game two, this time shooting a single into the right-center field gap.

Brady Karol (2024, Garden City, NY) worked efficiently over his three-innings of work, collecting four punch outs as he would limit the Gold team to only one hit. Generating tons of weak contact, Karol commanded his heater in all four quadrants of the zone, changing speed often. Working in the mid-70s with his fastball, there remains a ton left in the tank for the slenderly built, 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-hander.

Kaleb Kennedy (2026, Elkton, MD) squared up a heater, ambushing the first pitch he saw, lining it back up-the-middle for a one-out single. Sticking to his mature middle-of-the-field approach he showcased during BP, Kennedy has improved his feel for the barrel with some flashes of pop.

Roan Harrington (2024, Blue Bell, PA) turned around a first-pitch fastball, lining it over the first baseman’s head for the Green teams first knock of their second game. Staying through extension well, the switch-hitter displayed better barrel skills from the left side and shows some flashes of pull side juice from the left side. Harrington collected his second knock of the game in his second trip, lining another single into right.

Jimmy Nichols (2025, Hazlet, NJ) followed Harrington with a loud barrel to his own credit, lining a 1-0 fastball back up-the-middle to put two runners on in the top of the 2nd. Showing off the wheels, Nichols would come around to score from first on a double in the gap.

Michael Paciotti (2024, Jefferson Township, PA) cleared the bases with a two-run double, shooting it into the right-center gap as he would put the Green team on the board first in game two. Logan uses his long levers to create leverage as he has continued to show some pop to the gaps. Paciotti would also come in to finish the last two innings of game two, sitting in the low-80s with some heavy life to his fastball that generated tons of weak, groundball outs.
