9-Columbia Blue vs. 8-Black Game Highlights

1/26/2025

Aiden Perez (2029 OF, Methuen, MA) repeatedly flashed the leather at shortstop. He charged a chopper to cleanly throw out a runner at first, and then - in the following inning - caught a hard-hit line drive and proceeded to double off a runner. As a hitter, he la ced a single to the pull-side gap.

Luis Hernandez (2029 RHP, Saint Cloud, FL) connected to an elevated heater and smoked it to the opposite-field gap. He hustled well for an RBI Double. In his next at bat, he attacked a first-pitch fastball and lined it the other way again for another RBI hit.

Hudson Oakley-Doran (2029 RHP, Jacksonville Beach, FL) made a heads-up play on a foul popup, charging in from third base to make a nice running grab. He then showed a strong arm across the diamond to throw out the next batter.

Tyler Norwood (2030 2B, Santa Rosa Beach, FL) displayed a strong mound presence across 3 scoreless innings pitched. He varied his delivery to mess with hitters' timing, allowing just 1 hit.

Trevor McClintick (2029 C, St. Petersburg, FL) touched 78 mph on the fastball and allowed 0 earned runs in 2 innings pitched. He mixed in a curveball too.

Evan Sproull (2029 SS, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) cruised through 3 scoreless innings pitched. He topped out in the mid-70s on the fastball and worked in a nice curveball - 5 total strikeouts for him.

Ford Causey (2029 C, Saint Johns, FL) got the start on the mound and struck out 4 batters in 2 scoreless innings. He went fastball-curveball and found success.

Cameron Caudill (2029 RHP, Dade City, FL) worked a hitter's count and lined an RBI Single to centerfield. He engaged his physical frame well and rotated swiftly.

Alex Sanchez (2029 OF, Homestead, FL) got the barrel to a first-pitch fastball and lined it the other way for an RBI Single. He employed quick hands and smoked it over the second baseman's glove.

Jax Yuzzolin (2029 1B, Longwood, FL) showed out with the stick. He ripped a missile off the opposite-field wall for a standup double.

Matthew Galligher (2029 C, Middleburg, FL) collected a pair of knocks to centerfield. He tapped into his physical frame and muscled it to the outfield.

East Prospect Gateway BP Highlights

1/25/2025

Joe Stevens (2029 OF, Canton, OH) took a very consistent round of BP, repeating the swing and making frequent hard contact to the pull side. He turned the barrel nicely with a very athletic swing overall.

Tripp Carlson (2030 OF, Jesup, GA) showed the makings of young bat speed with the ability to impact the ball out in front. He flashed some strength to the pull side when squared.

Hudson Oakley-Doran (2029 RHP, Jacksonville Beach, FL) looked to leverage out in front and did a nice job at creating barrel whip and fluidity in the bat head.

Jose Yamil Guevara (2028 C, St Cloud, FL) showed natural lift to the swing with the ability to generate impact to both gaps. The hands work well and there's controlled violence throughout.

Ford Causey (2029 C, Saint Johns, FL) showed quick hands and the ability to whip the barrel with intent. There's solid strength presently and he took a very consistent round.

Evan Sproull (2029 SS, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) has fast hands and turned the barrel with frequency and intent. It's an athletic operation and there's lots of room on the frame for additional strength and power projection.

Jax Yuzzolin (2029 1B, Longwood, FL) took the best round of the day, routinely peppering balls to the pull side with significant impact. There's big bat speed and leverage out in front with huge upside.

Trevor McClintick (2029 C, St. Petersburg, FL) showed advanced power, creating solid impact and carry off the bat. It's a power oriented approach and execution.

8-Black vs. 9-Columbia Blue Game Highlights

1/25/2025

Joe Stevens (2029 OF, Canton, OH) led the game off with a single to the pull side. He took a barrel to a fastball on the inner third and ripped it to left field.

Kaleth Fradera (2029 RHP, Barceloneta, PR) reached 74 mph on the fastball and mixed in a changeup for strikes. He struck out the side in the 2nd inning, finishing with 4 total Ks.

Hudson Oakley-Doran (2029 RHP, Jacksonville Beach, FL) struck out the side on 11 pitches in his first inning of work. He ran the fastball up to 78 mph and sprinkled in a nasty curveball as the put-away pitch.

Jax Yuzzolin (2029 1B, Longwood, FL) showed electric stuff on the mound. The fastball topped 82 mph, the curveball missed bats, and he collected 2 strikeouts in his first inning of work. He then went on to strikeout the side in the following inning.

Oliver Bodolay (2028 SS, Miami, FL) got the green light on a 3-0 heater and ripped it back up the middle for a single. He rotated swiftly to catch up to an 81-mph fastball.

Luis Hernandez (2029 RHP, Saint Cloud, FL) showcased a beautiful, front-door, 12-6 curveball that baffled hitters often. It had about 12 mph of separation from his heater, which topped 76 mph. He then lined a double the other way as a hitter in the 8th inning. Hernandez concluded with 6 strikeouts in 3 innings pitched, putting the finishing touches on a 9-inning combined no-hitter for his team.

Cameron Caudill (2029 RHP, Dade City, FL) displayed a solid two-strike approach and collected a pair of hits. He sent a ball to CF for an RBI in his final at bat.

Ford Causey (2029 C, Saint Johns, FL) found open grass in centerfield and got on the board with a single. He attacked a first-pitch fastball and advanced a runner into scoring position.
