Garrett Polson is a 2024 RHP/C, UT with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Sterling, IL who attends Sterling. Tall, lean type frame with potential for added physical strength. Primary position is RH pitcher, throws from 3/4 arm slot. FB up to 79 mph with occasional arm side rune and sinking action when down in the zone. Has potential for increased velocity with added physical strength and proper development. Tries to locate FB to all quadrants of the strike zone, needs to continue to refine FB command. CB has slower 3/4 type action with occasional depth. Overall sound delivery, around the zone with all pitches, needs to continue to improve the quality of his strikes. Also participated with drills behind the plate. Catching, has overall sound set-up behind the plate. Needs to continue to refine footwork and overall receiving skills. LH hitter with extra wide, straight away stance. Line drive contact type hitter with middle of the field hitting approach with quickness in hands and developing raw strength in swing. Good student.
