Justin Nicks is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Canutillo. Long and lean frame with good athleticism and physical projection. Ran a 6.78 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, clean delivery mechanically, gets into back side well and drives down mound hard, quick arm out of over the top slot and repeats well. Worked in the 84-87 range with the fastball, solid life to it at times, breaking ball has good tilt and depth to it, developing the command of the mix but intriguing arm talent and stuff with upside. Also worked out in the infield, efficient routes to the spot, low-effort movements, funnels well in the middle, good hands and gets rid of on time and fluidly. Righthanded hitter, easy swing with some strength, could be more fluid but showed ability to drive the ball to the middle and other way. Good student. Named to 2022 Sunshine Texas Showcase Top Prospect List.
