2021 Northwest Prospect Showcase
Conrad Henkel is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Black Diamond, WA who attends Tahoma Senior. He ran a 7.10 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a medium frame. In the outfield he moves well to the ball fielding it cleanly and getting off a quick throw with fair arm strength as he showed accuracy to the bases. On the mound he worked from the stretch only with big hanging leg lift as he tucks the upper half at the balance point, he does a nice job working on line down the hill with a more compact arm action up to a three-quarters arm slot with some arm speed as the fastball sat 77-82 mph to the glove side mostly, the curveball showed flashes fo over the top action working down but can be manipulated into more a slurvy offering when needed. Right-handed hitter, he showed looseness to the hands using a small toe tap to trigger the swing. The bat path is compact to the ball using the middle of the field with some whip out front as he produces good barrel speed through the zone. Very good student.
