Cristian Hernandez Jr is a 2024 3B/RHP/SS with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Hawthorne, CA who attends Lawndale. Stocky frame with a very physical build at present. Ran an 8.42 second 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, has a slower approach in how he attacks the ball but shows good glove work and soft hands as he adjusts to the ball well to funnel it in the middle of his body and build momentum into his throws with arm strength clocked into the upper-70s across. Also pitches, works under control on the mound and uses a longer arm stroke with some present arm speed to get across his body to release and generate some ride to the fastball up in the zone while showing a changeup with some tumble at the plate and a slurve-type breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, sets up tall with high hands and a high back elbow; fires his lower half hard into his swing, has some length through the zone but pulls the barrel through well and uses his physicality to generate some jump off the barrel that projects well with added consistency. Very good student.
