Jalen Burton is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends Ballard. Medium and lean frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.13 second 60 yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts delivery with a rocker step up to a high leg lift, drop and drive actions and lands online to the plate, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, will vary windup speeds and leg lifts to mess with hitter timing. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, developing 11-5 shaped curveball mixed in as well, improved consistency to his release point will improve strike throwing ability. Secondary outfielder, fields the ball out in front, crossbody release up to 84 mph from the position. Right-handed hitter, open stance with an inside hand path to the baseball, uphill swing path with rotational actions, pull approach when getting the head out front. Good student.
