Levi Sotomayor is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Reno, NV who attends Galena. Taller build and lots of projection in the frame. Ran a 7.00 in the sixty yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch and worked with a compact and in line delivery. The lefty has a 3/4 release with horizontal angle and a slurvy shaped 1-7 breaking ball with good spin and feel to land the pitch. Showed toughness. A secondary first baseman, good feel for the timing with his feet and glove placement, accurate arm coming off the bag. A left-handed hitter, starts even and slightly open with a leg lift trigger and a flat path through the zone. Easy swing with good feel and an all fields approach. Outstanding student.
