Dax Bush is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Morristown, NJ who attends The Morristown-Beard. Medium, athletic looking frame with lean muscle throughout and room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a simple, repeatable delivery with good rhythm and tempo throughout his windup. Uses short, subtle side-step into a slightly coiled leg lift and good lower half movements down the slope. Arm swing is clean and online through the backside and out to release, consistently repeats his delivery and garners good extension through release. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 84 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower with ability to command all four quadrants with his fastball, elevating when necessary and landed late biting slider for strikes. Displayed ability to manipulate his breaking ball to generate swings-and-misses as well, further exhibiting an aptitude for pitching. Will continue to expand his repertoire and improve with added velocity and maturity. Good Student. Named to the 2022 New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
