Nick Renna is a 2023 3B/RHP, OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Trabuco Canyon, CA who attends El Toro. Features a bigger build with strength present. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. Worked out both on the infield and in the outfield. Showcased good footwork in the outfield. Caught the ball well before transferring cleanly into throws. Showcased good carry and accuracy on most throws. Threw 85 mph during workouts. Moves well laterally on the dirt. Works around the ball well with solid glove actions through the catchpoint. Arm strength translates across the diamond. Can make throws from multiple angles. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a simple swing through the zone. Stays short to contact with good bat speed. Has the ability to create loft and drive balls the other way. Right-handed pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Starts with low hands into a slight coil at leg lift. Shows good intent down the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 slot. The fastball sat 83 mph with some ride through the zone. Pairs it with a low-70’s curveball with slurve action. Gets hitters out front often with it. Throws both offerings for strikes often. Competes on the mound. Very good student.
