Colin Loughrey is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Laguna Niguel, CA who attends Aliso Niguel. Medium to large build with room to still strengthen and fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 7.14 sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder, great aggressiveness with his reads off the bat. Quick actions, moves very well into the gap as well as down the line. Quick and clean transfer, gets rid of the ball in a hurry. Was gunned at 85 mph to the plate in the outfield workout. On the mound, has a short arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Works with good direction down the hill. High back elbow into his separation. Fills up the zone with his 80-84 mph fastball. Mixes in a high 11-to-5 shaped curveball that showcases good depth to the plate. Slight hump out of his hand. At the plate, uses an even and upright stance with a simple stride trigger. Longer overall stroke, hands are still quick. Some good pop to his pull side. Physical frame suggests his power tool will only improve.
