2020 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Nathaniel Mendez is a 2022 2B/SS, OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Gulf Coast. He ran a 7.03 second sixty. A primary middle infielder with a medium lena build and has length to fill out as he continues to mature. On the infield he works quickly to the baseball getting around it well, he showed some feel for the glove out front funneling the ball in nicely and getting off accurate throws with developing arm strength. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base and slightly open stance, he worked best to the middle of the field with developing hand speed as the barrel works steep into the hitting zone. Very good student.
