Jack Byrne is a 2024 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Natick, MA who attends Natick. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with two hands, gets quick with lower half mechanics, worked through the backhand nicely, shows the ability to drop slot on throws accuracy, low effort release with accuracy to first base. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slighlty open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; gets closed moving into contact and stays short to the ball with swing path. Looseness to swing and looks to lift at point of contact, occasionally opens front side early but mostly gets the barrel out front and shows feel in the box, projects with added strength.
