Jackson Burns is a 2024 RHP with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Aledo, TX who attends Southwest Christian. Big and tall physical build. Big side step delivery into a high leg raise above the rubber, high 3/4's arm slot that creates big downhill angle to the plate, works very quickly. Fastball worked in to low 90's and topped out at 94 mph, gets big ride up in the zone and some cutting action glove side. Curveball has the potential to be a very good pitch with hard spin and good depth, some swing/miss profile on the curveball. Also threw a firm change up with good arm speed and solid it well. Has the pitches, just needs more consistency in his command and mechanics. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas Tech.
