Jorge Rodriguez is a 2021 C/3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Ponce, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Big and thick build with lots of present strength. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Has good fundamental actions behind the plate, transfer and release are clean and practiced, makes accurate throws with good carry from a compact arm action, can continue to work on improving his lower half quickness. Also plays third base and looked solid there during games. Right handed hitter, loads to his back side and tends to stay there, long and loose swing with good leverage and an uphill lifting swing plane, gets his hands extended through the ball, showed big power and carry to the middle of the field when everything came together. Has the strength to keep on improving with work and adjustments. Good student.
