Karlo Aguirre is a 2022 1B/LHP with a 5-11 230 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Archbishop Coleman Carrol. Big and strong build. Left handed hitter, straight stance with a limited lower half shift into contact, leans his upper body and head into his swing, is on time with his swing and finds barrels, mostly opposite field contact, has the strength to make adjustments and learn how to turn the barrel. 8.75 runner, first base tools on defense, has soft hands and good fundamentals, gets rid of the ball very quickly on his throws. Also pitched, has a clean arm circle with a medium leg lift delivery, stays tall over the rubber, mid 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the upper 70's with some cutting action, short slider that he used frequently early in counts. Good student.
