Jake Bonanno is a 2021 OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Colleyville, TX who attends Southlake Carroll. Showed good speed and athleticism, running a 6.99 second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a young frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Takes long strides to get to positioning, coming to and through the ball well with an aggressive close. Has a smooth transition to throwing actions, making accurate throws with developing arm strength up to 70 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter with a narrow stance, leg kick trigger and rotational lower half. Has a well-timed to shift to contact, using a gap-to-gap approach to make consistent, hard contact at the plate. Looks comfortable in the box, and has a line drive barrel plane. Excellent student.
