Gabe Gaeckle is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Aptos, CA who attends Aptos. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Has a simple and compact delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, really accelerates his arm hard and gets out front well. Fastball worked consistently in the mid-90's, topped out at 96 mph. Curveball was an outstanding pitch in the upper 70's with tightness and bite and spin rates that were consistently around 3,000 rpm, can be more consistent out front on his release but threw some filthy ones when on time. Didn't show a change in games but showed feel and arm speed in warmups with the pitch. Comp's to Sonny Gray in many ways. Good student, verbal commitment to Arkansas. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
