Austin Gast is a 2021 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Cape Girardeau, MO who attends Notre Dame Regional. Big and burly build with lots of strength potential. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base and a bent knee start, works from a low center of gravity with natural lift coming up through the ball, is short and quick to the ball and has good strength at contact, mid field approach, crushed one ball hard to the left centerfield gap to show his power potential. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Moves well laterally for his size, has good arm strength from a compact arm action, makes accurate throws, solid third base tools overall. Has lots of offensive potential with continued hard work. Very good student.
