Caden Swancey is a 2022 C/RHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Juliette, GA who attends Mary Persons. Big and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. 7.41 runner in the sixty. Has good lower half quickness and actions behind the plate defensively, gains ground well on his throws, good arm strength with on line carry and a quick transfer, still working on his consistency with his glove receiving away from his body. Also played the outfield and has the athleticism to play there, arm action is longer and looser than behind the plate and the release and transition are good. Right handed hitter, loads with a high knee lift trigger and occasionally doesn't get his foot down on time, uphill swing plane with a high finish, flashes quick hands and can turn on the ball when he stays short and on plane. Also pitched, had a very quick inning of fastball strikes, sat in the low 80's with heavy run and sink and got three ground balls.
