Christian Nava is a 2021 3B/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends The Bishop's High School. Medium, broad shouldered build with present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.97 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands into a clean funnel, remains tall through release, takes short steps towards the ball, will continue to refine footwork to the backhand, shows nice arm strength and carry across the diamond with accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide and slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; upper body dominant swing and can shift additional weight into contact. Keeps hands inside the ball well, hands start pulled back and does a nice job of getting the barrel out front. Shows strength off the barrel with occasional lift through point of contact, works to the opposite field well with carry, strength to hands and showed ability to turn on the ball.
