Bennett Mittelsteadt is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Scott, LA who attends Teurlings Catholic School. Recorded a 7.08 second 60-yard dash time. Medium, athletic build with lots of room to add strength. Primary outfielder who gets the ball out quickly. Online throws and gains ground nicely. Keeps throws on top with arm strength recorded up to 75 mph into the infield. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a quick arm and a three-quarters arm slot. High leg lift with sound mechanics. Good follow through to the plate with an athletic delivery. Gets good sinking action on the changeup and showed 12/6 shape to the curveball. Lefthanded hitter with multiple toe taps as a timing trigger. Level swing plane and works to both sides well. Feel for getting extended through contact with a wide base and a slightly open stance. Gets downhill at times and has a contact oriented approach. Good student. Verbal commitment to Louisiana-Lafayette.
