Mario Taormina is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Petaluma, CA who attends Casa Grande HS. Broad shouldered young build with lots of room to get stronger. High leg lift delivery with a long and extended high 3/4's arm action, creates good angle to the plate, very loose and easy arm. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, more velocity there with additional strength, will get some cut or run at times. Did not observe a secondary pitch and will need to develop one to take the next step as he will throw hard as he matures. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a high hand load, limited lower half shift, line drive swing with mid field to opposite field contact. Excellent student.
