Kyle Meister is a 2020 OF with a 5-7 147 lb. frame from Coppell, TX who attends Coppell HS. Smaller athletic build with some present strength. 6.84 runner, has some quick twitch athleticism, moves well in the outfield with good footwork and routes through the ball, gets rid of the ball quickly and shows some carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, loads on to his back side well, aggressive long and loose swing with extension through the ball, uphill swing path, power approach that creates some bat speed. Also pitched, slow paced windup accelerating hard through release, high 3/4's arm slot with a compact arm action in back. Fastball worked in the upper 70's, gets some cutting action on it at times. Best pitch was a 12/6 downer curveball that had hard spin and good depth, buckled some knees with the curveball and showed good feel for the pitch. Good student.
