Jake Emhardt is a 2020 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Medium frame with broad shoulders and room to add. Ran a 7.38 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Solid footwork to and through the baseball. Plays below the ball with a clean funnel. Quick transfers with an easy release. Shows some arm strength across topping out at 78 miles per hour. Switch hitter with and even stance and high hand set on both sides. Utilizes a heel lift trigger for timing. Line drive path with quick hands to contact. Better contact coming from the left side. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a deliberate rocker step delivery and a high leg lift and hip coil at gather. Long and loose arm circle in the back with a high three-quarters release. Fastball shows slight arm side run with occasional sinking action as well topping out at 81 miles per hour. Commands pitches at the bottom of the zone as well as to both sides. Solid offering in the 11-to-5 curveball with hard downward action. Good student as well.
