William Marconi is a 2019 C with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton HS. Medium and athletic frame with present strength especially in lower half. Ran a 7.76 second 60 yard dash, 4.65 second home to first. Primary catcher, sets up in a low crouched position, comes out of his crouch gaining good ground to his target, quick arm action into throws with good arm strength, present catch and throw ability, posted an event best 79 mph throw from catcher and 1.95 second pop time. Also pitched and graded out best on the mound, some effort to his delivery with raw talent, compact and quick arm action, fastball has present sinking action and topped out at 87 mph, mixed in a curveball with tight spin and some power when thrown with conviction. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a spread out stance and a high hand set, toe tap trigger into contact, long swing path with some looseness to his hands, finishes in a high follow through position, pull side approach with occasional jump, will improve pop off the barrel with refinement to lower half weight shift into contact.
