Hector Martinez is a 2019 C with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Hatillo, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Long and projectable athletic build. 6.86 runner, shows athleticism and quickness behind the plate defensively, good exchange on his throws, turn and throw release, can improve his throwing footwork, makes accurate throws, lots of projection. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a long, full effort swing, high deep hand load, can turn on the ball and drive it when on time, hitting tools to develop but may have to tone down approach. Lots of physical tools to develop future skills around. Good student.
