Max Eastman is a 2023 C/1B with a 6-0 250 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends Ladue Horton Watkins. Recorded a 7.70 second 60 yard dash time. Large frame and thick build with some strength present. Primary catcher with a wide base and side straddle set up. Transfer at the chest with a long transfer and high release. Waits back on it, arm gets tied up in the back at times. Shows some quickness to the feet, could gain more ground towards second base. Recorded a 2.33 second pop time at 65 mph. Switch hitter with an even stance and small lift and replace stride with a heel lift trigger. Limited weight shift in either direction, has explosive hips and hands. Very quick bat that he whips through the zone, shows a pull side approach on both sides of the plate. Has a knack for hitting the ball hard and really impacts it to pull, his strength stands out in the box. Aggressive and high intent swinger, shows good balance and extension, found multiple barrels in live at bats. Excellent student.
