Henry Proger is a 2020 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Paloma Valley. Large frame with an athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Swings front side slightly but works in line to the plate and finish. Deep arm stab at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball generated some natural cut to glove side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Curveball had 1/7 shape with good spin and solid depth in the upper 60's. Also flashed a straight changeup with some sink to the bottom of the zone in the low 70's. Consistency looked to challenge hitters while effectively changing speeds. Also worked out defensively from first base, moves well to each side with athletic footwork. Displayed clean glove actions while funneling the baseball. Deeper arm stab while working through transfer and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws generated accurate carry to the bag topping at 81 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and toe tap trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed the ability to create sharp, loud contact off the barrel when working to contact out front. Primarily utilized a mid-field to pull side approach.
