2022 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Josh Keen is a 2023 RHP/ with a 6-1 230 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Philadelphia Academic. Broad shouldered, extra-large, physical build with well-proportioned strength throughout his frame. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a simple drop and drive lower half, tapping into his strong lower half well to drive down the slope. Shorter arm stroke, using long levers to hide the ball, offering a tough look for opposing hitters. Has some life in the arm as he worked in the mid-80s, holding throughout the entirety of his outing, topping out at 86 mph. Came right after hitters, moving his heater around the zone, working in all four quadrants. Curveball displayed 11-5 shape, showing feel for spin, mixing in a slider with some horizontal tilt. Ton of projection left on the mound with a high upside on the bump. Good student. Named to Mid-Atlantic Prospect Top Prospect List.
