John Kemp is a 2019 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Burien, WA who attends John F Kennedy Memorial HS. Compact frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.32 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Deliberate footwork when closing to the ball. Medium arm circle in the back into a three-quarters release. On line carry to the infield topping out at 75 miles per hour. Also worked out from the infield. Funnels the ball out front with fast exchanges. Makes accurate throws across the diamond. Righthanded hitter with a spread stance. Swings with intent with a middle of the field to opposite field approach. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a rotational delivery. Compact arm action in the back. A lot of arm side run on the fastball in the low 70's. Rarely mixes in a curveball with average spin keeping the ball low in the zone. Good student as well.
