Brock Toney is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Liberty. Medium athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow open start with with a hanging front leg glide into contact, got his foot down on time well, loose and extended swing with some young whip to the barrel, has good bat speed with more to come as he gets stronger, works gap to gap with some carry. 7.12 runner in the sixty. Shows good athleticism in the infield on defense, fields cleanly out front with a good funnel, quick release on his throws. Also plays the outfield and looked solid out there as well. Took a turn on the mound, compact arm action with a simple low effort delivery. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life, throws his fastball for strikes. Threw both a slider and a curveball, curveball has some 11/5 depth and pretty tight spin, slider also was tight with good velocity to it. Good all around athlete who will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Excellent student.
