2020 14U Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase
Artis Rayburn is a 2025 RHP/C, 1B, 3B, OF with a 6-4 178 lb. frame from Canton, MS who attends Germantown HS. Recorded a 7.93 second 60-yard dash time. Long and lean frame with excellent size and plenty of room to add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step into a leg lift above the belt. Drop and drive backside mechanics with a fastball that topped out at 77 mph with excellent sinking life. High front side with an over the top slot. Battled through command inconsistencies but has upside. Secondary outfielder with deliberate actions, a full arm stroke, clean funnels, and a high release. Secondary catcher who reaches for the ball, has a longer arm stroke, and showed quality arm strength for the position. Righthanded hitter with a narrow stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Low leg lift with quickness to his hands and a shorter stroke for his size. Showed bat speed with a middle of the field approach. Great student.
