Connor Morgan is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Haslet, TX who attends V R Eaton. Recorded a 7.27 second sixty-yard dash time. XL frame with present strength and coordination for his size. Primary first baseman; agile footwork around the bag with clean funnel out in front, fairly quick turns and accurate throws to the bags. Recorded arm strength up to 82 mph across the diamond in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch. Incorporates a fairly simple delivery with a belt high leg lift, slight hip turn into balance and efficient lower half movements down the slope. Developing command with fastball that worked its way up to 85 mph in this look, settling in the low-80s for the majority of his outing. Secondary offerings have true swing-and-miss potential with well-replicated changeup showing best at present. Mixed in occasional slider that flashed good spin traits and late depth when thrown with conviction. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even stance with a low back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with flatter swing plane, raw power potential and loud impact to the pull-side. Fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills with slight tendency to get long with his swing path. Will improve with proper swing adjustments and minor refinements to his pitching delivery. Excellent Student.
