Luis Rondon is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Archbishop Carroll. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread open start with a high hand load, limited lower half shift into contact, hands driven swing with a push to the opposite field, has the strength to develop as a hitter if he can make adjustments. 7.14 runner in the sixty, moves well for his size and has lateral agility at third base, has nice arm strength across the diamond and showed the ability to drop his arm slot with effectiveness, solid next level defensive actions to further develop. Took a turn on the mound, has simple base mechanics with good direction to the plate and a loose and whippy arm that works downhill well. Low 80's fastball topped out at 83 mph, worked in the zone with some sinking action. Still developing feel and consistency with his curveball and change up. Good student.
