Joseph Kaminski is a 2019 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from McHenry, IL who attends Mchenry-West Campus. Lanky long build, lots of room to get stronger. Compact arm action in the back, hides the ball well, drop and drive mechanics, high 3/4's arm slot, tight release, stays on line well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets some downhill plane when working down in the zone, mostly straight. Breaking ball took both slider and curveball shapes, slider version was tighter and better at 71 mph with 2 plane sharpness at the bottom of the zone, curveball had good depth at times at 67 mph. Did a good job mixing and threw plenty of strikes. Should continue to improve with physical maturity. Right handed hitter, lots of vertical body shift in swing, has some bat speed and pulls the ball hard, can improve offensively with adjustments. Very good student.
