James Myler is a 2020 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 179 lb. frame from Middle Island, NY who attends Longwood High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 5.00 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, deliberate tempo to actions, fields the ball out front and makes the plays with glove, quick transfer into a lower release on throws, accurate with carry when released out front, can continue to incorporate additional lower half at release. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Upper body dominant swing, gets to front side early at times, stays short with stroke through the zone. Handsy swing, looks to create contact to pull side and gets the barrel out front. Excellent student.
