Jayden Taitano is a 2020 C/IF with a 5-10 164 lb. frame from Lancaster, PA who attends Conestoga Valley. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Ran a 7.35 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving. Gains ground towards the bag loose, low exchanges. Released from a compact three-quarters and finish off to glove side. Throws produced on line carry to the bag topping at 71 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.01. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing deliberate good work while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Flashed some glove fluidity while funneling and worked through exchange well. Generated accurate carry across the infield topping at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance. Simple, direct path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Swung with intent and showed present bat speed with strength. Ball jumped off barrel well when squared producing solid carry to the gaps. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition.
