Cody Lee is a 2017 OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, NC who attends Carol Morgan School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a strong present build with present strength. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows good energy moving towards the ball and works through it well, balanced actions, short and compact arm action through the back,ball comes out clean and shows carry and strength to the intended base, front side opens early upon release, quick transfer and release out of the glove. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow in the box, employs a high leg lift trigger for timing at the beginning of swing. Hands stay tight throughout swing, short and direct path to the ball, shows a feel for the barrel. Comfort to work with the pitch and use the opposite field, comes off the barrel well and projects for more strength with additional extension to swing. Very good student.
