Justin Buckner is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Issaquah, WA who attends Issaquah HS. Large frame with quality present build; good projection remaining as well. San 60 yard dash in 7.05 seconds. Showed very well with the bat, good smoothness to barrel action to and through zone, hands work very well in swing. Shifts weight well, gets head out and shows strength to drive the ball up gaps. Projects well offensively. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good footwork to both sides with quick hands as well, maintains athleticism on the move, fields cleanly and gets off clean release across the diamond up to 79 MPH. Pitched as well, short/compact arm stroke to mid-three quarters arm slot, online delivery with good balance, fastball worked 76-80 MPH with arm side run. Showed good curveball with 11/5 shape and excellent spin with good break. Showed changeup with some fade. Threw three pitches for strikes and attacked. Named 2016 Northwest Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
