Tyler Hofmann is a 2018 C/1B, 3B, RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Beaufort, SC who attends Battery Creek HS. Large frame with present strength and physicality to the build. Primary catcher with a short arm action and tight release. Upright release with short ground gained. Posted velocity of 71 mph with a 2.00 pop time. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple delivery with a short arm circle. Abbreviated arm circle with a short leg lift to the shin. Higher three-quarters arm angle and the fastball has some arm side run while topping out at 78 mph. Will mix in a curveball with soft shape to it. Big crossfire element to landing which aids in deception. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow. Big leg lift trigger with a line drive swing path. Balance with big power potential to the pull side. Tremendous student.
