Dominic Meleo is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Freehold, NJ who attends St Peter's Preparatory. Medium, athletic frame with solid present build and good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high back elbow set, toe tap timing mechanism, shows quality bat speed with ability to turn the barrel and strike the ball cleanly out front. Consistently hard contact to the pull field, succeeded in driving the ball into the air as well. Short, quick steps to the ball in the outfield with balance in actions to the ball, fields cleanly and shows full, clean arm action in throws back to the infield, topping at 82 MPH. Pitched as well, throws from mid three-quarters arm slot with full, clean arm action. Exclusively from the stretch, waist-height leg lift with balance, drives downhill with plane. Fastball worked 78-83 MPH, showed some cutting action to the glove side, also mixed in a tight-spinning. sharp slider. Threw strikes consistently with both pitches. Good student.
