Colby Powers is a 2021 1B/LHP with a 6-4 235 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Recorded a 7.40 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with some physicality to the build and projection remaining. Primary first baseman who moves well for his size with some athleticism. Good arm strength recorded up to 81 mph across the diamond. Good hands and moves well around the bag. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with a high three-quarters arm slot and some arm speed. Worked within the strike zone and looks to induce weak contact as he pounded the zone with fastballs exclusively. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance and a middle of the field approach. Can uncork and drive the ball with some leverage and torque. Uphill swing path with strength and some pull side power. Good student.
