Drayton Brown is a 2020 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Nacogdoches, TX who attends Nacogdoches. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame nicely. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a side step moving into delivery with a leg lift up to belt; early hand break into a full arm action and works to an over-the-top release point. Upper body dominant release and can continue to incorporate lower half into drive down the mound. Generates plane to fastball and topped out at 84 mph, worked down in the zone, mostly true in life with occasional arm side run and pitched to contact. Mixed in a 12-6 shaped curveball up to 68 mph, shows depth when on top. Nice arm strength from first base, fields the ball out front with a wide base, accurate throws and works on top well with accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and low back elbow in the box. Slight bar at start of swing, best contact when working on a linear plane and keeping weight back; shows occasional back spin off the barrel and comfort working to all parts of the field.
